The Six Pack Method
August 2009-February 2011:Year One
*This is an 18 month program.

What is it?

The Six Pack Method is a program designed to address the root causes of limited success among foster children.  The six components of the program are:
1)  Education
2)  Health & Well Being
3)  Arts & Recreation
4)  Vocational Needs
5)  Independent Living and Life Skills
6)  Spirituality

Each of these components will be addressed through a curriculum of planned education and programming over the course of 18 months.  Upon graduation of the program and the opportunity to receive a Six Pack Award, students must show evidence of participation and growth as well as measurable results in the form of a portfolio.  100 items will be kept for documentation purposes and will be available for students to use as the journey from childhood to adult.

How will it be funded?

The program will be funded through various grants, community support, and Title I funding for our after school program, The Bridge.
